*About the artist
Eyad Abou Kasem was born in 1986 in Damascus, Syria.
Is a documentary photographer and visual artist working mainly on personal projects.
Graduated from the Faculty of Literature Arts in Damascus, Syria in 2013 and is currently studying Visual Journalism and Documentary photography at the Hochschule Hannover. With his project “Small Forest On The Other Side”, that was made while living in a refugee camp in Germany, Eyad tries to process the wandering questions, hopes and sarcasm of such a situation. The project was exhibited in Rome, Barcelona, Hannover and Beirut, it was also presented in the Time and MainPost magazines.
