*About the artist
Lilia Benbelaïd is French-Algerian and has been living in Beirut since 2019. She originally studied architecture and created a first series of urban illustrations of the Chatila refugee camp, before working on "Farasheh", a landscape-planning and environmental project based in the camp, with the support of the Fondation de France. In 2022 she joined no/mad utopia, a platform supporting the projects of contemporary artists based in the MENA region.
